THIS MILL HAS BEEN USED FOR PHOTOGRAPHIC PURPOSES ONLY. IT IS STILL BRAND NEW, UNUSED.

A beautifully crafted and timeless salt mill, designed and made in Greece for both everyday use and lasting performance.

The 704 Salt Mill features a durable brass body finished in matt nickel, giving it a refined, understated finish that is easy to maintain. Its long arm makes grinding effortless, while the flanged base provides stability on the bench or table.

Known for their reputation for quality, durability and functionality, these mills are handcrafted to exacting standards in Thessaloniki, Greece. The robust design is inspired by a portable coffee mill created in the early 1900s for Greek soldiers to use in the field, with the family-run company continuing to produce these distinctive mills since 1977.

The salt grinding mechanism is specifically designed to grind salt rather than simply crush it, helping to maximise flavour and aroma. The mill features a food-safe plastic grinding mechanism and stainless-steel shaft, making it a practical and hardworking addition to any kitchen.

With plenty of capacity and the ability to grind directly over your food, this is a beautiful and functional piece designed to become an everyday kitchen essential.

Dimensions:

Diameter - 40mm

Height - 230mm

Weight - 450grams

Suitable for salt ONLY

Please Note: Due to the handmade nature of these mills, each piece will have its own unique character. You may notice slight variations in the metal, including subtle differences in colour from the polishing process, as well as minor imperfections such as small scratches.

These natural variations are a result of the finishing process and are NOT considered faults. They do not affect the function or performance of the mill and simply add to the character and individuality of this beautiful kitchen staple.

Care Instructions:
- Never grind salt in a mill intended for pepper, as this will corrode the metal mechanism.
- Never wash or submerge the mill in water.
- Wipe with a damp cloth and dry with a soft towel.
- The outer casing will naturally oxidise and change in appearance with touch, use and exposure to moisture and oxygen in the air.

Cleaning your mill will help maintain it for good working order.  Try give it a clean every time you refill the contents.  For salt mills, I recommended to use Dry Sea Salt or Rock Salt, wet, grey, or salt flakes are not recommended as they will clog the mechanism.  Imperfections in the brass from use are not considered faults and are to be expected.
